Individual’s Workshop

The individual’s workshop combines key elements of two of the hottest practices in management and leadership: Storytelling and Finding Meaning and Passion in Your Work. Stories are one of the most effective ways to communicate in any culture, and can be especially important in a work environment where change is constant and relationships are subjected to a multitude of pressures and stressors. Stories from The Gatehouse provide an easy way to see others deal with work and life issues including their own passion (or lack of it) at work and their struggles to build and lead an engaged work force. From there it is a smaller step to your own story. Understanding your story can provide insights to your future.

The individual’s workshop will help you to:

• Understand the practical, business side of spirit in the workplace.
  • Show how powerful it is when individuals and companies build a passionate, loyal, committed and spirited workforce. This will include case studies from The Gatehouse and from top performing organizations.

• Understand your path
  • Through the Gatehouse Novel and Board Game, learn about life stories and identify key moments, memories, people, and symbols from your own.
  • Begin to build your own life story and learn how to read what it might be teaching you.

• Value and live in the moment
  • Through a guided facilitation begin to “see” your perfect day at work and steps you could take to make it a reality.

• Design the future
  • Through understanding the past and appreciating the present each participant will be challenged to design their future.
  • Develop your own personal vision statement.
  • Outline the actions you can take to live in the present you want and move toward the future you desire.
